Earlier this afternoon, detectives from MDENT discovered a suspected meth lab at a residence in the 2700 block of Bard Avenue. Arrested were Matthew Utterback (30 yoa from St. Albans) and his girlfriend Rachel N. Haynes (28 yoa from St. Albans).

They are charged with the lab and for endangering their children. They are parents to an 8 year old girl and 2 year old boy. Some of the lab components were found in the 2 year old's room. Detectives report that one of the adults had been smoking meth today in that residence around the children.

Utterback & Haynes were taken to KC Magistrate Court for arraignment on the charges.
