Jeff Moore became the St. Albans Humane Officer in 1990. Jeff is a long time resident of St. Albans and a graduate of St. Albans High School.

As Humane Officer, Jeff is responsible for rescuing lost and stray dogs and cats and, working with the Kanawha-Charleston Animal Shelter, reuniting wayward pets with their families. Jeff also catches and relocates wild animals that become a problem in and around residences.

Jeff has rescued injured animals, nursed them back to health and relocated them back into the wild. Over the years this has included, squirrels, rabbits, hawks and even snakes. Additionally, Jeff investigates animal cruelty cases in St. Albans.
